Share your Story

We want to amplify the voices of people with lived experience of child abuse in The Scout Association.

You can share as much or as little as you like.

Your story is important.

Please do not name any individuals in your submission, or give enough information that they could be identified.

Identifiable information includes any of the following information, that alone or in combination, means the police would be able to take action:

  • Names of any individuals

  • Locations (i.e. naming a specific town)

  • Establishments (e.g. naming a school hall where your Scout group met)

There is no requirement to have reported your experiences to share them here, however if the perpetrator still holds a position of authority over young people then we’d strongly encourage you to report them to the NSPCC.
